Beam Detector is a type of smoke detection device used primarily in large, open areas where traditional spot-type smoke detectors are impractical. It works by projecting an infrared or laser beam between a transmitter and receiver (or reflector). If smoke enters the beam's path, it scatters or absorbs the light, triggering an alarm.
